Ellen Pieters
Ellen Pieters (born February 29, 1964 in Purmerend , North Holland ) is a Dutch actress and singer . She plays in theater, film and television productions.
After finishing high school, Ellen Pieters studied at the Cabaret Academy in Amsterdam .
From 1992 to 2000 she could be heard as a cabaret artist and singer in Spijkers met Koppen on the Dutch radio station VARA . She has also appeared in television programs such as Het Klokhuis from NPS , Ook dat nog from KRO and Kopspijkers from VARA. In the latter program she parodies Princess Maxima and Rita Verdonk . In the 1999/2000 season she started her first own cabaret program Primeur , directed by Tosca Niterink , known from the duo Theo en Thea . In 2001 she made her second full-length cabaret program with Lucretia van der Vloot under the title Klotewijven! . She also appeared in the vagina monologues . In 2003/2004 she played in the musical Merrily We Roll Along and was nominated for the John Kraaijkamp Musical Award , which ultimately went to Simone Kleinsma .
She also starred in the comedy De gelukkige mandarijn by Frank Houtappels, directed by Porgy Franssen .
