Eloise Jarvis McGraw
Eloise Jarvis McGraw , née Hamilton (born December 9, 1915 in Houston , Texas , † November 30, 2000 in Portland , Oregon ) was an American children's author.
McGraw wrote many children's books and has received the Newberry honor three times in this genre in several decades . Together with her daughter Lauren Lynn McGraw ( Lauren McGraw Wagner , * 1944) she continued the Oz book series by L. Frank Baum .
She was married to William Corbin McGraw since 1940, who also wrote children's books under the name William Corbin . The marriage had two children. McGraw died of cancer in November 2000.
