Else model
Else Model (born June 18, 1871 in Nördlingen , † March 12, 1953 in Weißenburg in Bavaria ) was a German writer .
Life
Else Model was the third of four children of the royal district doctor August Model and his wife Anna Hörning. In 1897 the family moved from Nördlingen to Weißenburg after their father retired. In 1916 Model's first book I had a comrade was published . Her books were mostly played in the Weißenburg area. The story Die Katzenlore im Stadtmauerturm in the Scheibleinsturm , published in 1925 by the Thienemann publishing house , is set . Model's books were often illustrated by Paul Hey . She dedicated one of her books to Gertrud Caspari . Else Model spent her last years in a retirement home in Weißenburg.
A street in Weißenburg was named after Else Model. It is the only street in the city that has been named after a woman.
