Style and content

Elysium is Eisheilig's most melancholy album lyrically and musically and deals with topics such as loneliness , melancholy and brutality. The band itself claims to have savored "the dark and melancholy side of Eisheilig" on Elysium . The melody is carried by the keyboard . In addition to the very dominant guitars, there are also electronic influences in the music. The singing is more guttural , the strongly emphasized “r” in some reviews resulted in a comparison with Rammstein . In contrast to the rest of the rather heavy album, the last song Morgenrot , which consists purely of a sad, lovely melody.

Presentation

Compared to the two previous ones, this album already stands out in its design due to differences from the previous concept. The cover and the pictures in the booklet no longer show any mystical elements, but rather modern antiques from the 20th century such as a gramophone , a typewriter , an airplane and a lighthouse. All pictures are kept in a dark green color. The album appeared in a jewel case , but this was in a cardboard slipcase.
