Emanuel Buchs

Emanuel Buchs (born January 2, 1962 ) is a Swiss ski mountaineer , cross-country skier and biathlete .

biography

He started top-class sport at the age of 14 and was accepted into the junior national team for four years at the age of 16, then in the national team, but had to leave it again after a year for reasons of time. With the relay he won six medals and took part in the Swiss championship in cross-country skiing several times.

In ski mountaineering, he took part in the Patrouille des Glaciers several times, with his teams taking first place four times and second place once.

He has been working full-time as a border guard since 1984 and lives in Ulrichen . He is married and has two children. In 2007 he took part in the Baschi Triathlon as a team with his wife and son.

  • 2001: 4th place at the Trofeo Mezzalama (with Farquet and Elmer)
