Emanuel Eduard Fueter (pronounced [fuətər] ; * May 2, 1801 in Bern ; † April 30, 1855 ibid) was a Swiss doctor and professor of medicine.

In 1832 he became professor of pathology and therapy at the Bern Academy. From 1834 to 1855 he worked as an associate professor for polyclinic and special therapy at the University of Bern . In 1835 he was elected to the Grand Council .

On Fueters suggestion wrote his childhood friend Jeremias Gotthelf 1843/1844 the two-volume novel Anne Bäbi Jowäger house hold and how he is doing with the Dokteren than exhortation against quackery .
