Emanuelis Zingeris
Emanuelis Zingeris (born July 16, 1957 in Kaunas ) is a Lithuanian politician.
Life
In 1981 he completed a degree in philology and from 1982 to 1986 he studied as an aspirant at the Chair of Lithuanian Language at the Vilniaus universitetas . He was a member of the Seimas from 1990 to 2000 and has been a member since 2004 . From 2000 to 2004 he was director of the Valstybinis Vilniaus Gaono Žydų Muziejus Jewish Museum in Vilnius.
From 1989 he was a member of Sąjūdis , from 1989 to 1991 the Lietuvos socialdemokratų partija and then the TS-LKD .
In February 2015, his name was mentioned more frequently in the media and social networks in Germany because he wants to propose Angela Merkel for her peace negotiation ( Minsk II ) for the Nobel Peace Prize .
He is married. With his wife Virginija he has a son and a daughter.
