The city of Emeishan ( Chinese  峨眉山 市 , Pinyin Éméishān Shì ) is an independent city in the independent city of Leshan in the Chinese province of Sichuan . It has an area of ​​1,168 km² and has 430,000 inhabitants. The Emei Mountain ( Emei Shan ) is on their territory.
