Emil Brose
Emil Brose (born May 11, 1901 in Nordenham , † May 8, 1962 in Oldenburg ) was a German painter .
Life
After attending school in Nordenham, Emil Brose began an apprenticeship in Oldenburg as a painter. He then studied at the Art Academy in Dresden and started his own business in Dresden. In 1938 Emil Brose moved his sphere of activity to Oldenburg. In the 1950s Emil Brose was a member of the Bund Bildender Künstler - Gruppe Oldenburg.
Works
Emil Brose mainly devoted himself to landscape painting. He found his motifs mainly in Oldenburg and the surrounding area. Many oil and tempera paintings as well as watercolors and drawings are in private hands. The State Museum Oldenburg and the City Museum Oldenburg have individual pieces in their inventory.
