Emil Göller

Emil Göller (born January 25, 1874 in Berolzheim , † April 29, 1933 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a German church historian .

Life

From 1886 to 1893 he attended high school in Freiburg im Breisgau. After graduating from high school in 1893, he began studying theology. After ordination in 1897 and his doctorate in 1900 as Dr. phil. in Freiburg im Breisgau he had a study visit to Rome from 1901 to 1909 . After receiving his doctorate in 1907 as Dr. theol. in Freiburg im Breisgau in 1908 he was appointed to the theological faculty in Freiburg im Breisgau. In 1909 he became professor for canon law in Freiburg im Breisgau. In 1915 he became chairman of the Church History Association of the Archdiocese of Freiburg . From 1917 he taught as a professor for church history in Freiburg im Breisgau. In 1919 he headed the Freiburg University as rector . In 1924 he became an honorary prelate to His Holiness .
