Emil Gerstner

Emil Louis Gerstner (born November 9, 1887 , † December 11, 1944 in Heidelberg ) was a German economist.

Life

Emil Gerstner attended the teachers' seminar . He then studied at the Mannheim Commercial College . In 1911 he became a member of the Corps Rheno-Nicaria Mannheim . He completed his studies as a state commercial teacher. He took part in the First World War as a lieutenant in the reserve. In 1920 he was promoted to Dr. phil. PhD. Since 1923 he had a lectureship for private economics as a lecturer at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . From 1930 to 1933 he was a member of the DNVP . In 1937 he became a member of the NSDAP . At the end of 1940 he was appointed honorary professor for business administration. His research interests belonging Accounting and Business Administration of tourism . He served as a major in World War II .
