Emil Lowig

Emil Lowig (born February 18, 1902 in Würzburg ; † unclear) was a German university professor for arable and crop production and rector of the Hohenheim Agricultural University .

Live and act

Lowig studied agriculture and received his doctorate in 1928 at the University of Bonn to Dr. agr. After his habilitation with Venia legendi in arable and crop production, he was a private lecturer at the University of Bonn in 1936. In 1937 he joined the University of Leipzig as a private lecturer . In 1938 he accepted the call to full professor at the Hohenheim Chair for Arable and Plant Cultivation. In 1945 he also took over the position of rector of the university for a few months. In 1967 he was retired.
