Emil Pagliarulo
Emil Pagliarulo is an American computer game developer.
Career
Before entering the game industry, Pagliarulo worked as a primary school teacher. After all, he worked as a journalist for the American game magazine Adrenaline Vault before getting a position as a designer at Looking Glass Studios , where he worked on Dark Project 2: The Metal Age and designed the level Life Of The Party , among other things .
After Looking Glass closed and an interim position at Ion Storm Austin , he moved to Bethesda Softworks . For Bethesda, Pagliarulo worked alongside a licensed game for the Pirates of the Caribbean film series as a writer and designer on the Elder Scrolls series. He made his first contributions to the Morrowind add-on Bloodmoon . For The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion , Pagliarulo was responsible for the quest line of the Dark Brotherhood, one of the main factions in the game.
Pagliarulo was appointed lead designer and lead writer for the post-apocalyptic role-playing game Fallout 3 , whereby he was largely responsible for the content design of the title. The game has won multiple awards and was presented after a public vote in 2012 as an example of the artistic design of adventure games of the modern Windows era in the art exhibition The Art of Video Games at the Smithsonian American Art Museum .
