Emil Stromeyer

Emil Stromeyer (born May 1, 1880 in Konstanz ; † 1951 ibid) was a German industrialist.

Life

Emil Stromeyer was born as the son of the Constance factory owner Ludwig Stromeyer. After attending grammar school in Konstanz, he studied law at the universities of Freiburg, Berlin and Heidelberg. In 1902 he became a member of the Corps Rhenania in Freiburg . In 1906 he was promoted to Dr. jur. PhD. After his studies, he worked for various domestic and foreign banks as well as in the management of a leading industrial company in Mannheim. During the First World War he was a battery leader. In 1921 he became a partner in his father's company, L. Stromeyer Co. Stromeyer was Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce for the Constance district. In 1949 he was a member of the study commission of the Rhine Chamber Union as their representative and president of the Rheinschiffartsverband eV in Konstanz.
