City Bus Simulator is a computer game series that was developed by the Erfurt developer studio TML-Studios and published by Aerosoft . The series includes the titles City Bus Simulator 2010: New York and Citybus Simulator Munich .

Gameplay

In the first part of the City Bus Simulator series, the player takes on the role of a New York bus driver on the M42 line, which runs from the Hudson River to the East River . The route and the side streets have been reproduced true to the original. The typical New York Nova bus is used here. Ticket sales were also simulated. In addition to the normal timetable, there are various missions and a campaign. With the downloadable editor, your own routes and buses can be created and made available to the community.

The Internet magazine 4Players rated City Bus Simulator 2010 largely positive. While the game world, which has been faithfully reproduced, the numerous technical functions of the bus and the credible driving model were praised, the stationary passers-by and the map that was too small were criticized.

The simulator received a mediocre rating from PC Games magazine . The realistic environment and the realistic implementation of the bus were praised. Technical errors in places and the motionless passers-by received negative criticism.

Extensions

An add-on has been available since April 2010 that contains the Usedom region and another bus.

Citybus simulator Munich

Gameplay

In the second part of the City Bus Simulator series, the player drives on line 100 “ Museum Line ” in Munich, which runs from the Ostbahnhof to the Hauptbahnhof . There are over 43 sights and museums on the entire route, which the bus drives to in the immediate vicinity. Originally licensed MAN Lion's City buses are available in three variants. The wear and tear of the buses is simulated, defects can be set manually or carried out automatically by the Malfunction Director. In addition to the main line, nine other lines, which are however fictional, can be used. There is also the possibility to communicate with the control center.

The internet magazine PCsim.net gave the Citybus Simulator Munich a good rating of 83%. Above all, the detailed representation of the buses and the surroundings, the damage simulation and the fine tuning of the bus were praised.
