Emil Werner (born January 18, 1913 in Aussig ; † August 5, 1996 ), first Sudeten German ( DSAP ), then German ( SPD ) - party functionary , journalist and author.

Life

From the end of the 1920s member, then chairman of the Socialist Youth in the CSR and member of the German Social Democratic Workers' Party in the CSR ( DSAP ), 1945/1946 co-organizer of the transports of expellees from the Sudetenland, involved in the reconstruction of the Munich SPD after 1945, 1949–1962 Editor of the "Brücke" (newspaper for Sudeten German Social Democrats), 1962–1977 press officer for the SPD in Bavaria and the SPD parliamentary group, 1951 founding member and delegate of the Bavarian State Association of the Seliger community (community of Sudeten German Social Democrats), from 1952 editor and author of the Sudeten Yearbook.

After the war Werner lived for a long time in Stockdorf , municipality of Gauting, and was also the local SPD chairman from 1960 to 1966. Werner was also a member of the board of the SPD district association Starnberg for several years. He wrote a number of works on the history of the BayernSPD .

His written estate is in the archive of social democracy .
