Emile Brunet

Emile Lucien Brunet (born June 8, 1863 in Brussels ; † May 10, 1945 ) was a Belgian politician of the Belgian Workers' Party .

biography

After attending school, he studied law and earned a doctorate in law . In 1912 he was elected to the Chamber of Deputies as a candidate for the Belgian Workers' Party and represented the interests of the Charleroi district until his death .

After he was Minister without Portfolio for a short time in 1918 , he became President of the Chamber of Deputies on December 10, 1919, and held this office until August 6, 1928. On April 2, 1925, he was awarded the honorary title of Minister of State for his political services .
