Emile Pierre Joseph De Cauwer
Emile Pierre Joseph De Cauwer (born December 8, 1827 in Gent , † January 30, 1873 in Berlin ) was a Belgian architecture and vedute painter.
He was a student of his father, the painter Joseph de Cauwer-Ronsse (1779-1854). His brother Leopold de Cauwer (1830-1891) became an animal painter. Emile Pierre Joseph De Cauwer painted exterior and interior views of historical buildings, including imaginary architectural monuments, as well as vedutas of European cities. He went on study trips to many European countries.
From 1862 he took part in the exhibitions of the Berlin Academy and other German exhibitions.
