Emilio Baldanello

Emilio Baldanello (born March 3, 1902 in Padua , † July 21, 1952 in Venice ) was an Italian actor .

Life

Baldanello is the son of the theater director ( Teatro Malibran in Venice ) and actor "Giuseppe" and his wife "Dora Prosdocmi", who was also a stage actress. After an attempted but aborted law degree, Emilio also turned to acting and from 1922 appeared with the Compania Albertina Bianchini , which was directed by Albano Mezzetti . The following year he joined the better-known around Gianfranco Giachetti and became known primarily in comedic roles of dialect pieces. In 1936 he became part of the ensemble at the Teatro di Venezia under Guglielmo Zorzi and in 1939 founded his own troupe with Gino Cavalieri .

His relatively short filmography shows him as a character actor in the lead role of the little-known Trent'anni di servizio from 1945.

Baldanello was the brother of Tonino Baldanello and the husband of Wanda Vianello , who died a year after him. The director Gianfranco Baldanello is his son, the assistant editor “Maria Grazia” is his daughter.
