Emily Ann deRiel (born November 12, 1974 in Boston ) is a former American pentathlete .
Career
Emily deRiel denied in 2000 in Sydney their single Olympic Games . In the end, she finished second in the first ever women's Olympic competition with just eight points behind Stephanie Cook , thus winning the silver medal.
Today she lives in Bonn with her husband and two children.
