Emine Bozkurt (born August 9, 1967 in Zaandam ) is a Dutch politician ( PvdA ).

After studying European Studies at the University of Amsterdam , Bozkurt worked in various media. At the PvdA from 1998 to 1999 she was initially a member of the board of directors in Amsterdam , then a member of the advisory committee for European policy and from 1999 to 2001 she was also a member of the party’s core group of the multi-ethnic women’s network. She has been a member of the European Parliament since 2004 .

As a MEP, Bozkurt is part of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament and chair of the delegation for relations with the countries of Central America . She is also a member of the Conference of Delegation Chairs , the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs , the Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality , the Special Committee against Organized Crime, Corruption and Money Laundering and the Delegation to the European Parliamentary Assembly - Latin America .
