Emir Bekrić
Emir Bekrić ( Serbian - Cyrillic Емир Бекрић ; born March 14, 1991 in Belgrade , SR Serbia , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian hurdler .
Bekrić won a bronze medal in the 400m hurdles at the U23 European Championships in 2011 in Ostrava. At the Summer Universiade 2011 in Shenzhen he set a Serbian record over 400 m hurdles in the semifinals. He finished sixth in the final. At the European Championships in 2012 he won silver over the 400 m hurdles in 49.49 s. Shortly afterwards he reached the semifinals at the Olympic Games in London and increased his personal best to 49.21 s. At the 2013 World Athletics Championships in Moscow , he won the bronze medal with the national record of 48.05 s.
