Emmanuel Delicata is the largest wine producer in Malta , based in Paola . The company was founded in 1907 . The program includes both white and red wines . Most wines are made from grapes grown in Malta. There are locations on the main island of Malta and on the island of Gozo . Other wines are made from grapes grown in countries bordering the Mediterranean . However, this company draws attention to this, which is not always the case in Malta. The grape varieties typical of the Mediterranean region that are used for the wines include Chardonnay , Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot .

Together with Marsovin , the winery controls more than 90% of the wine market in Malta.
