Emmanuel J. Bauer

Emmanuel J. Bauer OSB (* 1959 in Mistelbach an der Zaya ) is an Austrian philosopher .

Life

He attended elementary school in Altruppersdorf and the humanistic grammar school in Hollabrunn ( Matura 1977). The Benedictine from Göttweig (ordained priest in 1983) is a pastor in the sanatorium of the Ingenbohl Sisters ( Rum - Innsbruck ) and rector of the St. Benedikt College (1993–2001). From 1977 to 1984 he studied specialist theology and independent religious education at the Universities of Vienna and Salzburg (Mag. Theol. 1983) and specialist philosophy at the Universities of Salzburg and Innsbruck (Mag. Phil. Fac. Theol. 1984). In October 2018 he was appointed Professor of Christian Philosophy at the Catholic Theological Faculty of the University of Salzburg.
