Emstekerfeld is a district of the city of Cloppenburg in the district of the same name in Lower Saxony .

The place is east of the core area of ​​Cloppenburg and south of the B 72 .

history

The Spreda plant was built in Emstekerfeld in 1963. The 76 meter high "Spreda spray tower" built for the drying process later became a symbol of the city of Cloppenburg as the " Pfanni tower".

The Catholic clergyman Wilhelm Scheperjans (1912–1998) initiated the construction of the so-called Ermlandsiedlung in Emstekerfeld for 75 families from Warmia . The houses could be occupied in 1967. Scheperjans had collected donations totaling 7 million D-Marks for this and procured 68,000 m² of building land.
