Encore Award
The Encore Award for 'Best Second Novel' is a British literary prize and was first awarded in 1990. The prize money is donated by Lucy Astor. The award fills a gap in the attention of the literary world, where outstanding second novels rarely get the attention they deserve compared to debut novels. The application is made by the publishers. The British Royal Society of Literature organizer and the old website (www.encore.com) have been switched off since 2016 .
