Ned Beauman

Ned Beauman (* 1985 in London ) is an English author and journalist .

Life

Beauman grew up in Hampstead . He studied philosophy at Cambridge from 2003 to 2006 , where he graduated with a BA . He then studied modern and contemporary literature, culture and thought at the University of Sussex until 2007 and completed his studies with an MA .

He writes for "Dazed & Confused" and other newspapers and magazines. He was editor-in-chief for the magazine "Another Man". With his first novel Flieg, Hitler, fllieg! (English Boxer, Beetle ) he won the Writers' Guild Of Great Britain Award 2011 (Best Fiction Book). He won the Somerset Maugham Award in 2013 with his novel Egon Loeser's astonishing mechanism for the almost instantaneous transport of a person from place to place ( The Teleportation Accident ) .

His father Christopher Beauman and mother Nicola Beauman also write books.
