Encyklopedie českých právních dějin (German Encyclopedia of Czech Legal History ) is an academic legal history project by Czech and Slovak legal historians. The result will be an eighteen-volume reference work, which ensures access to all the necessary information about the legal history of the Bohemian countries from the earliest times to the present of the broadest academic and lay public.

The first volume was published in 2015 and 8 volumes have been published to date (May 2017). Each volume contains 100 to 150 keywords, the length of each keyword depending on its meaning and ranging from 2 to 50 pages. The last two volumes will contain the bibliographies of the most important legal scholars living in the Czech lands.

More than 700 authors take part in this project, including a. also legal historians from Austria, Germany, Poland and Hungary.

The editors include Karel Schelle and Jaromír diving from the Chair of State and Legal History at the Faculty of Law at Masaryk University in Brno . The project also is The European Society for History of Law organizationally involved. The encyclopedia is published by the Aleš Čeněk publishing house in Pilsen, both in print and in electronic form.
