Jaromír diving

Jaromír diving (born July 23, 1981 in Sušice , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech lawyer , legal historian, court interpreter , translator and lecturer at the Faculty of Law at Masaryk University in Brno . He is the author of a number of publications on German legal history and on legal history in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia .

Life

From 2000 to 2005 he studied at the Faculty of Law and Philosophy of Masaryk University in Brno, where he also passed an examination and a doctoral examination in the following years (dissertation: The development of criminal justice in Germany 1933 to 1945). During several stays abroad he studied at German and Austrian universities ( Innsbruck , Konstanz , Passau , Regensburg , Münster , Vienna ). From 2005 to 2006 he completed the postgraduate course “Common Legal Area Europe - European Integration and Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe” at the University of Dresden , where he obtained the title LL.M. acquired. Since 2006 he has been a lecturer at the Chair of State and Legal History at the Faculty of Law at Masaryk University in Brno. In 2017 he completed his habilitation at the Brno Faculty of Law with the thesis "Work and its legal regulation in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia (1939-1945)" .

He is primarily concerned with modern German legal history, with a special focus on legal history in the Nazi era and on the history of Germans in the Bohemian regions. In addition to his academic work, he also works as a court interpreter for the German language. He is a member of the Chamber of Interpreters of the Czech Republic, the German-Czech Lawyers Association, and the European Society for History of Law . He is also an academic adviser to the Journal on European History of Law , a cooperation partner of the Dezső Márkus Research Group for Comparative Legal History and a member of the international academic advisory board of the journal Contributions to the Legal History of Austria . He is one of the editors of the Encyclopedia of Czech Legal History .
