Hanna Mehls
Hanna Mehls (born January 18, 1867 in Berlin ; † November 22, 1928 there ) was a German landscape and still life painter and graphic artist.
Hanna Mehls came from a wealthy entrepreneurial family. She became a student of Paul Flickel in Berlin and continued her studies in Munich . Her art was influenced by impressionism .
Since 1896 she was a member of the Association of Berlin Women Artists , and from 1909 to 1927 she was on the association's board.
Mehls took part in the association exhibitions in 1896, 1898, 1901, 1904, 1905, 1906, 1911, 1923, 1926, and 1928. Their memorial exhibition took place in 1932.
Hanna Mehls was a member of the Lyceum Club Berlin . Since 1902 she was a member of the German Art Cooperative .
In the period from 1893 to 1925 she showed her works at the Great Berlin Art Exhibition .
She was awarded a gold medal at the St. Louis World's Fair in 1904 .
