Endless knot

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An endless knot is a mostly stylized representation of a knot from an endless loop with no beginning or end. These mystical / mythological symbols appear in different cultures, u. a. with the Anglo-Saxons , in medieval Ireland (see also knot pattern ) and with the Tibetans as one of the good luck symbols of the Ashtamangala ("Buddha knot " or Sanskrit " Shrivatsa ").
