Energy and Buildings is a bi-weekly peer-reviewed scientific journal published by Elsevier . The editors-in-chief are Jianlei Niu and Mattheos Santamouris.

The journal publishes research on the use and supply of energy in buildings , in particular on saving and increasing energy efficiency as well as increasing the domestic environmental quality. The focus here is on work, the findings of which have been obtained from series of measurements in the laboratory and in practice; however, theoretical papers are also published.

The impact factor in 2016 was 4.067, the five-year impact factor 4.599. This placed the journal 5th out of a total of 61 scientific journals listed in the "Construction and Building Technology" category, 20th out of 92 journals in the "Energy and Fuels" category and 3 out of 125 journals in the "Civil Engineering" category.
