Engelbert Dick

Engelbert Dick (born March 27, 1907 in Recklinghausen ; † February 14, 1962 ) was a German CDU politician .

education and profession

Engelbert Dick attended elementary school and grammar school, as well as business school for 2 years. He completed a commercial apprenticeship. He then worked as a commercial assistant and assistant in tax matters and later as a business clerk and authorized signatory. Dick worked as a business appraiser for price monitoring and he worked as a commercial department manager. In 1950 he became a member of the German Employees' Union.

politics

Dick was a member of the CDU and from December 1945 chairman of the CDU in the Meschede district. He was a member of the district council from 1946 to 1948. From April 1946 he worked as a city councilor in Meschede. From April 1946 he worked as an official representative in Meschede. From 1946 to 1948 he was the mayor of Meschede and from 1952 he was the mayor.

From July 21, 1958 until his death on February 14, 1962, he was directly elected member of the 4th state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia for the constituency 130 Meschede-Wittgenstein.
