Engelbert vom Bruck
Engelbert vom Bruck (born February 17, 1739 in Elberfeld (now part of Wuppertal ), † March 21, 1813 in Krefeld ) was a Krefeld publicist and representative of the Enlightenment .
Life
His Mennonite friends of faith prompted him to move to Krefeld in 1772 . He was a clerk in the Von der Leyen company, the company of the important Mennonite silk weaver family Von der Leyen .
