English Ice Hockey League
The English Ice Hockey League was the first professional - Hockey -Liga in England and throughout Europe . It was played only once, in the 1903/04 season. Five clubs took part in the league. The game was played in two ice rinks in London, the Prince's Skating Club in Knightsbridge and the Hengler's Ice Rink on Argyll Street.
The champions of the league were the London Canadians, which consisted mainly of Canadian expatriates .
