Jonas & Sebastian is a folk music duo from the Bavarian Forest , whose aim is to preserve the Bavarian tradition in language and music.
history
Jonas Hackl (* 1997) from Finsterau started playing the guitar in 2006. Originally, he wanted to play electric guitar in a rock band . Hackl plays several string instruments, including the ukulele and bass . Sebastian Wilhelm (* 1995) from Annathal has been playing the Styrian harmonica since 2004 and also tuba and bass.
The two youngsters got to know each other in 2014 at a musicians' meeting. They found that their music was very well received by the audience and so they decided to found the duo Jonas & Sebastian - Wirtshausmusik . The duo only plays pub music. However, the two young musicians interpret this term in a more modern way and claim: " Tavern music is music that can be made in a tavern ". They try to play a mixture of folk music , Austropop , pop music and current hits Unplugged .
