The daring four is the title of a television adventure series for teenagers based on the novel The Secret Series by Enid Blyton . It was filmed in 1996 by the British Cloud 9 Screen Entertainment Group in New Zealand and first broadcast there on December 29, 1997. German television broadcast the series a month later.

The four children of this Enid Blyton film are named in the series as in the English-language novel: Mike, Laura and Peggy Arnold and Jack Bennett. In the German book translation it became Chris, Lissy and Peggy Arnold and Ben. The siblings Peggy, Mike and Laura run away together with the neighbor boy Jack. They are looking for their missing father Thaddeus Arnold, who disappeared with the photo reporter Charlotte Clancy during a circumnavigation and was pronounced dead. They also solve other puzzles, uncover secrets and discover lonely islands.

When it was first broadcast, Super RTL broadcast the series in five feature-length episodes. The repetitions were later divided into 20 episodes. The broadcaster eoTV is currently repeating the series.
