eoTV (stands for European Originals Television ) is a German television broadcaster . The program organizer is the MV Broadcasting Company UG . It shows a mixture of European TV series , feature films , classics and premieres on free TV . From December 22, 2015 to December 31, 2018, the eoTV program window was broadcast daily from 8:15 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. on the family channel RiC , a specialty channel of Your Family Entertainment .

The new broadcasting brand eoTV was developed by Jürgen Hörner , the former head of ProSiebenSat.1 Germany.

history

The television broadcaster RiC has presented itself with European programs since September 2012 and has established itself as the third private children and family program in German-speaking countries with 32 million households of technical coverage. Since December 22, 2015, the station has expanded to include the eoTV program window . At the same time as the program window starts, the live stream goes online on the eo-TV website. The eo-TV highlights have been part of the Dailyme program since March 2016 .

In Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the television offer was distributed as a program window at RiC , including Astra, cable television and various platforms for live streams. Distribution via the RIC station was discontinued on December 31, 2018.

In May 2019, EO Television GmbH filed for bankruptcy as the operator of the station. The Motorvision Group has been broadcasting eoTV since February 2020 and adding new content to the program.

Since December 13, 2016, eoTV HD has been broadcasting a 24-hour program on waipu.tv . A timely start via DVB-T2 and DVB-S2 was planned for 2017. In addition, eoTV HD can be received as a live stream via the broadcaster's website.

The prime-time program eoTV only shows films and series from Europe. The broadcaster acquired broadcasting rights for various British television productions from BBC Worldwide in 2016.

For 2020, the station announced that it will broadcast DEL 2 and reports.

On February 3, 2020 it was announced that Motorvision TV will realign the station after the bankruptcy.
