Jürgen Hörner
Jürgen Hörner (born April 12, 1965 in Mosbach ; † July 24, 2020 in Munich ) was a German media manager . The former ProSiebenSat.1 TV Germany boss developed the channel eoTV , which started on the family channel RiC in December 2015 .
Career
After graduating from high school and training as a bookseller, Hörner studied American, German and Slavic studies at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . He started working at ProSiebenSat.1 in 1993 as an editor in the feature film department. Since then he has had various management tasks in the company, such as Head of Program Planning at kabel eins and ProSieben , Managing Director of kabel eins Fernsehen GmbH, Managing Director of ProSieben Television GmbH and Senior Vice President of Program Planning for all German free TV stations in the group.
In 1999 he switched to program planning as an editor, took over the department management there in 2000 and in 2003 the management of the “Planning and Program Information” department. In April 2011 he also became Managing Director of ProSiebenSat.1 TV Deutschland GmbH, which he took over as Chairman in October 2012. The station brands Sixx , Sat.1 Gold and ProSieben Maxx developed and established themselves in these positions . He held this position until 2013. In October 2014 Jürgen Hörner founded the production company Euvid One GmbH . In December 2015 the broadcaster eoTV started, for which Hörner has worked as managing director since then.
