Kaouartal (here at Bilma)

The Enneri Blaka is a dry wadi in the Djado plateau in the northeast of the African state of Niger . It is located in the northern extension of the Kaouar Valley , which is known for its salt flats and oases such as Bilma . The Enneri Blaka ends in the large sandy desert of Ténéré . The famous Chirfa oasis is around 50 km to the southwest .

In the Tubu ( Teda ) language, the name of this dry valley means "Valley of Blaka". There are numerous rock paintings and prehistoric relics in the vicinity, as well as a rock formation known as a “submarine”.

Although the conflict between the Tubu and the central government of Niger was resolved in 1995, there are still mined areas in the region of the plateau.
