Ennetsee

Ennetsee is a common name for the communities Steinhausen , Cham , Hünenberg and Risch in the canton of Zug , Switzerland, on the west bank of Lake Zug .

Surname

The name " Ennetsee " has its origin in the Swiss German expression "ännet em See" ("on the other side of the lake"). Ennetsee was first mentioned in writing in a letter from Ammann and the council from Zug dated March 15, 1470 in connection with Gangolfswil .

The major motorways A4 and A14 , the Zug – Lucerne railway line and the Gotthard Railway with Rotkreuz station as an important railway junction run through the Ennetsee area .
