Enrique Asensi

Enrique Asensi (* 1950 in Valencia ) is a Spanish artist.

Life

From 1972 to 1977 Asensi studied at the San Carlos School of Fine Arts in Valencia. In 1977 he received a scholarship to study in Germany.

Asensi lives in Spain and Germany ( Wickede (Ruhr) ) and is married to a German woman. In Avinyonet del Penedès near Barcelona , he has set up a vineyard to become a park with 31 of his works. He converted the ruins on the site into a residential building.

Works

After a phase of black chalk painting on white sheets of paper, he now mainly works with COR-TEN steel and stone. The size of his works of art varies from handy to several meters. Sculptures with an opening as a view are typical. The possibility of looking through should give the viewer a sense of space.
