Enrique Mélida
Enrique Mélida y Alinari (* 1838 in Madrid , † 1892 in Paris ) was a Spanish painter of the 19th century.
Ernest Meissonier's student specialized in portraits and genre paintings. His works still have a strong presence in the art print market . One of his main works, the 18th Century Spanish Penitent Procession, is in the Sydney Art Museum. His brother was the eminent architect Arturo Mélida y Alinari , another brother of the archaeologist José Ramon Mélida y Alinari .
