Arturo Mélida y Alinari (born July 24, 1849 in Madrid ; † December 15, 1902 , ibid) was a Spanish architect, sculptor and painter.

In 1873 he completed his architecture studies at the Escuela Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid , to which he was later appointed professor. He also worked as a painter, mainly in the design of upper-class palaces in Madrid, such as the Palacio Bauer .

In 1899, three years before his death, he was accepted into the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando . For his Spanish pavilion at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1889 , he received the gold medal of the Académie française and the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honor .

His brother Enrique Mélida y Alinari was a well-known painter.
