Rotorflug is a German airline based in Göttingen in Lower Saxony (before April 2019 in Friedrichsdorf in Hesse ). According to the company's website (as of June 9, 2020), the company headquarters and the technical site are still in Friedrichsdorf. She was a member of the German Helicopter Association.
history
Rotorflug was founded in 1972. From 1993 to 2019, in cooperation with Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe , she operated an intensive care transport helicopter at the Südstadt-Klinikum in Rostock , which was operational 24 hours a day. In 2009 a subsidiary called rotorflug helicopters SL was founded on Mallorca .
Services
From its stations, Rotorflug mainly conducts work flights such as surveillance flights on high-voltage lines and pipelines as well as charter flights .
You can also purchase a private pilot license (PPL-H) for the helicopter from Rotorflug . The helicopters are maintained in the Friedrichsdorf shipyard , which is also approved as an AgustaWestland Service Center.
In October 2019, Rotorflug filed for insolvency, and an insolvency administrator has been appointed since October 24, 2019.

Incidents
- On August 25, 2019, a Bell 206L-3 LongRanger ( aircraft registration D-HOTT ) helicopter crashed on Mallorca after colliding with an ultralight aircraft near the city of Inca , killing a total of 7 people.
