The SAT Fluggesellschaft mbH (short for: Special Air Transport ) was one of Turkey was founded in 1978 entrepreneurs airline based in Cologne . It began its flight operations with the Fokker F-27 and in 1978 and 1979 added three Sud Aviation Caravelle aircraft , which were acquired second-hand from LTU . In 1979, the lawyer Hinrich Bischoff bought the company together with the three Caravelle aircraft, in June 1986 the SAT flight operating license was transferred to Germania and the SAT aircraft were integrated into Germania’s fleet. Meanwhile, the now former airline SAT continued to operate as an aircraft leasing company. In 2017, SAT merged with Germania and merged with Germania as the parent company under the name Germania Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH . The Germania Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH announced on 26 February 2019 at the Charlottenburg District Court for bankruptcy.
