The MTM Aviation was a German airline with seat in Munich .
History and destinations
MTM Aviation was founded in 1980 and has been involved in national and international passenger and business aircraft charter since its inception.
On March 17, 1990, for the first time since the end of the war, a West German aircraft landed in West Berlin with a Learjet from MTM Aviation . The aircraft had been chartered by the German Air Rescue Service for organ transport and given a special permit by the Allied Aviation Security Center after the US Learjet stationed in Tempelhof , which was actually intended for this purpose, was not available.
In 1991, MTM Aviation then ordered two Canadair Regional Jet 100ERs , which they retrofitted with head-up displays a little later . This was followed by orders for a Dornier 328-100 and a letter of intent to purchase a Dornier 328-300 in 1998. Nevertheless, a second 328-100 was later adopted in place of the latter.
In addition to operational flight operations, the company also handled VIP passenger and aircraft handling at the Munich General Aviation Terminal, if required. In addition, a lounge was made available in the terminal's premises for both its own passengers and on a rental basis.
In the course of the aftermath of September 11, 2001 , MTM Aviation recorded a short-term increase in bookings, even though the company was taken over on June 1, 2002 by Bonair, which was previously based at Cologne / Bonn Airport ; the latter had to cease its flight operations around two years later.
