Holiday Express Deutsche Luftverkehrs GmbH & Co. was a German regional airline that existed from 1983 to 1987 and was based in Hamburg .
history
Holiday Express was founded in 1983 as the successor company to HADAG Air Seebäderflug , which was sold by HADAG Seetouristik und Fährdienst . In 1987 operations were stopped and the successor company was renamed Hanse Express . This in turn was then taken over by Hamburg Airlines as a rescue company in 1988 .
Destinations
The routes from Hamburg to Helgoland , Westerland (Sylt) , Hanover and Kassel were flown as scheduled flights . From 1985 Rotterdam was added , followed by Antwerp in October 1986 . Shortly before operations ceased, routes to Brussels and Gothenburg were added. In addition, ad hoc charter flights were carried out.

When operations ceased in 1987 and the subsequent transfer to the Hanse Express, the Holiday Express fleet consisted of four aircraft:

- 1 Swearingen SA226TC Metro
- 1 Dornier 228-100
- 1 Dornier 228-200.
Before that, there were also operated: a Cessna 340, two each of Britten-Norman BN-2 Islanders and de Havilland Canada DHC-6-300 Twin Otter and two more Dornier 228-200s.
