Transaer Cologne was a German virtual airline based in Cologne and a subsidiary of the Irish Transaer International Airlines.
history
Transaer Cologne was founded in 1998 as a subsidiary of the Irish Transaer. Almost exclusively serving Cologne / Bonn Airport, operations began in March 1999 with an Airbus A320-200 and IT charter services were flown on behalf of various tour operators ; Among other things, in addition to smaller tour operators, companies such as Schauinsland-Reisen , Alltours and today's Thomas Cook Group were among the customers of Transaer Cologne. In addition, from July 2, 1999, officials from the federal government were also transported between Cologne and Berlin, although a changing market situation meant that the company had to cease operations on April 8, 2000 after the last flight from Palma to Cologne. The Irish parent company Transaer also ceased operations on October 20 of the same year and was subsequently liquidated .

From Cologne / Bonn, Transaer Cologne mainly flew to holiday destinations in the Mediterranean and the Canary Islands.
