Denim Airways (officially Denim Airways Bavaria GmbH ) was an Augsburg- based company that marketed domestic German flights as a virtual airline . The flight operations were carried out by the Dutch Denim Air .

history

After Augsburg Airways relocated their operational base to Munich in 2002 and at the same time ceased flight operations from Augsburg , Hahn Air and Denim Air decided to continue some of these connections. To this end, in spring 2003 they jointly founded the sales company Eurohopper Bavaria , under whose brand Eurohopper.com Denim Air was to fly domestic German routes . Flight operations began on June 10, 2003 between Augsburg and Düsseldorf . Used came Fokker F-50 of the Dutch partner company.

Shortly afterwards, the Dutch company KLM Cityhopper requested that the company be renamed because of the similarity of its names, whereupon the virtual company was renamed Denim Airways . The new name was used from July 18, 2003. From March 2004 the company also flew to Berlin-Tempelhof from Augsburg. All flights were suspended on September 12, 2005.
